Our impact

Since we launched in 2015 we’ve supported hundreds of young people as they move on from the care system, providing transformative support to help them build a stable life.

2025-26

Helping young people to build a more stable life

The need for our work is growing all the time. Government figures published in October 2024 show that the number of care leavers facing homelessness increased by 54% over the last five years. Care-experienced young people are 9 times more likely to be made homeless than their peers.

Our mission is to reverse this trend. 2024/25 was the final year of our 2022 to 2025 strategy, which focused on preventing more young people from becoming homeless. This year, we worked with 183 young people, the highest number ever, providing them with over 1,570 hours of personalised, 1:1 support.

Reached more young people

236 young people

We increased our reach and impact significantly this year. We supported 236 young people through the Settle Programme, an increase of nearly 30% on the previous year.

Helped young people manage their tenancies

100%

100% of Programme graduates have sustained their tenancies this year. 91% told us they feel more confident in managing their tenancy and that they have better life skills to avoid eviction.

Extended our support offer

412 grants

We provided 412 grants to young people, with a total value of £27,713. As well as hardship grants, we introduced wellbeing grants for young people to buy something nice for themselves. We funded 320 therapy sessions for 37 young people.

Offered consistent support

1,971 hours

We delivered 1,971 hours of 1:1 support, with an average of 6 months spent on the Programme per young person.
