Settle appoints next CEO: Dan Jones
We’re delighted to announce that Settle has appointed Dan Jones as our new CEO. Dan will be joining Settle in February bringing a wealth of experience in the sector. He will be taking over from Settle’s Co-Founder Rich Grahame, who announced in September he would be stepping down after 10 years leading the organisation.
Dan will be joining the team in early February ahead of Rich leaving in mid-March, as part of a smooth handover.
Dan has over a decade’s leadership experience in the voluntary sector, working on a wide range of social issues. In senior roles at Nesta, Social Finance and Youth Futures, he worked with care-experienced young people to create and grow new solutions to the problems they face. He is passionate about improving outcomes for young people. Dan has developed and led organisational strategy and large-scale programme delivery for both national and international charities. He brings particular interest and expertise in innovation and influencing change in wider policy and practice.
Dan Jones said:
“I’m really excited to be joining Settle as we embark on the next stage of our journey to end homelessness for young people with experience of the care system. Under Rich’s leadership, Settle has established an amazing model of support for young people at a key moment in their lives. I look forward to building on everything he’s achieved, and growing our services to reach even more young people who need us.”
Sarah Byrt, Settle’s Chair of Trustees said:
“Settle’s Trustees are thrilled that Dan Jones will be joining as our new CEO. Dan brings impressive third sector experience and a passion to address the challenges faced by care-experienced young people. We are hugely grateful to Rich, under whose leadership Settle has made a big impact in helping break the cycle of youth homelessness. It’s an exciting time for us as we focus on our new strategy and we’re confident that Dan is the right person to lead the talented team to build on those strong foundations.”
Rich Grahame, Settle’s co-founder and CEO said:
“I am really pleased that Dan will be leading Settle into its next chapter. He has the passion, drive and experience needed to take Settle to new heights and the values to keep young people at the heart of everything we do. Whilst it will always be bittersweet moving on, I’m excited to see what lies ahead for Settle.”
